My fitness journey started nearly 2 years ago after having my first baby. It hasn't been the easiest of journeys but it has been absolutely rewarding. I was a novice when it came to training and workouts and chose to start with Personal Training sessions with Franco. There were days I dreaded attending a session. I was so nervous of what lay ahead in that one-hour workout! If I saw running in the workout, I would have a mini panic attack. I could barely run 200m. Through Franco's guidance, patience and constant motivation I ran my first Parkrun in May 2016 and my first 10km in Aug 2016. Franco encouraged me for months to start classes but I was so nervous to do so.
I always thought I could never finish one of those workouts … I now attend classes 3 to 4 times a week and I run over weekends. It's not easy being a full-time working mom, but we make it work as a family. I am lucky enough to have a wonderfully supportive husband! Honestly, if I can do it, anyone can! It's just about taking that first step and sticking to it!
